Development direction of tantalum and niobium market
China's tantalum and niobium industry started in the 1950 s. After years of development, it has gradually established a relatively complete industrial system with independent intellectual property rights from mining, mineral processing, smelting, processing to application. In recent years, Chinese tantalum and niobium enterprises have been determined to forge ahead, go abroad, participate in international market competition, and steadily embark on the road of industrialization, informatization, internationalization and capitalization. China's tantalum and niobium industry has made great progress and development in the modernization of enterprise management, production scale and R & D level, comprehensive utilization of tantalum and niobium resources, comprehensive environmental management, occupational health protection and safe production, international operation, capital operation and so on.

What are the ore types of tantalum-niobium deposits?
Tantalum-niobium deposits can be divided into five categories according to their genesis: magmatic deposits, Weijing deposits, vapor-forming hydrothermal deposits, contact self-metamorphic deposits and exogenous deposits. The tantalum and niobium minerals with industrial value mainly include tantalite, niobium iron ore, yellow chlore, brown yttrium niobium ore, black rare earth ore, titanium niobium calcium cerium ore, equiaxed tantalum lime stone, uranium tantalum niobium ore, fine stone, easy solution stone, etc. The size of tantalum-niobium deposits formed by ore-bearing rocks of different deposit types varies greatly.
Properties and Uses of Tantalum and Niobium
Tantalum (Ta) and niobium (Nb) are rare metals with high melting point (tantalum 2996 ℃, niobium 2468 ℃) and high boiling point (tantalum 5427 ℃, niobium 5127 ℃). The density of tantalum is 16.65g/cm³; The density of niobium is 8.57g/cm³. The appearance is like steel, gray white luster, powder is dark gray, with suction, corrosion resistance, superconductivity, unipolar conductivity and high strength at high temperature.
Cutting and Application of Tantalum Plate, Tantalum Foil and Tantalum Machining Parts
The melting point of tantalum is 2980 ℃, which is second only to tungsten (3380 ℃) in common refractory metals, and the density is 16.67g/cm3. In the annealed state, tantalum has good plasticity and is relatively stable at high temperatures, absorbing and retaining gases. Tantalum is resistant to acid and is a biocompatible material. Tantalum is widely used in electronic, chemical, medical and other industries. At the same time, tantalum is also an indispensable material for the production of cemented carbide.
Application of tantalum material niobium material
Tantalum high temperature resistance, good strength and rigidity, is the production of vacuum high temperature furnace with heating components, insulation components and loading vessels of high quality materials. The main purpose of tantalum is to make capacitors. Tantalum capacitors are currently the best performance capacitors. Tantalum wire is used as the anode lead of tantalum capacitors, because tantalum has excellent physical and chemical properties, its high melting point, small thermal expansion coefficient, excellent toughness and ductility, especially its excellent corrosion resistance, hydrochloric acid, concentrated nitric acid and "aqua regia" have no reaction. Tantalum wire has also been important in medical applications, because of its biocompatibility, human muscles can grow on it, so it can be used to compensate muscle tissue and suture nerves and tendons.
